

Gladys Ekema is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She specializes in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, behavioral problems, anger management, and personality disorders.
Gladys is committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health through compassionate, empathetic, and holistic care. She believes every patient is unique and deserves individualized attention, listening carefully to understand each person’s needs and providing support that integrates their emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
Outside of her clinical work, Gladys enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, singing, listening to music, and traveling. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowie State University, and an Associate Degree in General Studies from PG Community College.
